Scot Marine's logistics services are based on a slightly different way of thinking.
| Although we are a freight forwarder in the correct sense, we use the same principles as we use in purchasing spares. Once we receive an enquiry or a freight job, we then go out to tender using pre-selected freight forwarders, and not the airlines. This way by checking the current market rates, and taking advantage of larger companies volumes of freight, we can always promise to have the most competitive rate, and still offer the same high standards of service that our customers expect from us. |

By linking our offices and warehouses in Rotterdam and Aberdeen, we are also able to freight cargo ex-Aberdeen whilst taking advantage of the cheaper rates ex-Rotterdam. This is applicable for both air and sea cargo.

Sea Freight
Using our knowledge and experience of many of the major shipping lines, we can arrange seafreight anywhere around the world. Both FCL and LCL can be arranged, from Aberdeen and from Rotterdam. Another option we offer to our customers in the UK, is for our Aberdeen office to arrange collection and truckage to Rotterdam, and then onward seafreight. This way you save on the expensive feeder links in-between. |

Road Freight
Using high quality road freight companies, we can arrange delivery or pick up of any goods at short notice, both in Europe, and also in regions such as the Caspian. Groupage services can also be arranged.
Import and Warehousing

In both of our offices we have sufficient warehousing space available. We can arrange any import cargo, and will handle all neccessary customs papers on our customers behalf. We can also act as your warehousing agents, and recieve all your goods direct from your suppliers, we will label and check all items, and report on a daily basis to your office, the goods ready. On your instructions, we can then consolidate all goods into 1 shipment and arrange freight to the final destination. |
African Continent
One of the hardest areas worldwide to support, we are particular specialized in the majority of the regions ports, We are capable of both supporting vessels either locally with our appointed and audited agents or ex Europe.
Knowing the local rules and the tried and tested means of getting spares and equipment to the ports enables us to offer a service and standard second to none, you may be surprised how easy it actually is and also that it is not as expensive or impossible as most people think. Whether it is crew post, a 4 tonne bowthruster or urgent switchboard spares, there is always a solution.
