Crane being loaded onto truck in Athens for onward shipment to Syros
|
|
2005 has seen a number of special projects being undertaken by Scot Marine Holland, and they include the transportation of a 90 ton, Liebherr crane from The Netherlands to the island of Syros, Greece.
The work involved arranging the loading of the crane and forwarding by sea freight to Athens, and the subsequent unloading and road transport to Syros. Other issues, such as confirming local ferries and police road permits were also taken care of. |
| Once installed on the vessel, Scot Marine supplied a qualified engineer to finalise the installation of the crane and provide training to the crew. |

SUPPLIES TO THE CASPIAN SEA
Scot Marine Holland completed the outfitting of a new, purpose-built hotel barge in Kazakhstan, in early 2005. Supplies included professional galley and laundry equipment, and a full range of accommation stores, such as beds and bedding, televisions and DVD equipment, and tools. |
EXPANSION OF HAND CARRY SERVICE
2005 has seen a large increase in the number of urgent shipments delivered direct to vessels, by Scot Marine staff. With vessel downtime costing owners thousands of dollars per day in lost revenue and resulting delays, vital spare parts have been hand carried across the world to destinations including Baku, Cape Town, Cairo, Dubai, Norway, Mauritania and Douala.
Experienced Scot Marine personnel are on permanent standby and have all relevant visa's and vaccinations. The service means that consignments of up to 50 kilos can be collected and personally delivered worldwide within 24 hours. Contact the Scot Marine office for further information. |
